About Us
Welcome to Fig Forest Farm, nestled in the deep piney woods of East Texas. Our passion is miniature dachshunds; our goal is to raise healthy, happy, well-adjusted puppies that conform closely to the AKC standard. Our dogs are raised with optimum health in mind; good nutrition, sunshine, exercise and mental stimulation along with lots of love produce wonderful pets and comapnions for others to enjoy.
As a veterinary technician with over 20 years of experience, my knowledge and background in medical training help to ensure that our dogs are raised in the healthiest way possible. My puppies are examined by my veterinarian before going to their new homes.
In addition to the dogs, we also raise dairy goats. The goats provide milk and cheese for our table and wonderful companionship. We have mostly Nubians, but also LaMancha, mini Mancha, and Nigerian Dwarf goats.
